Director, Jim Roberts with over 30 years experience in the software industry, Mr. Roberts founded QSS In 1993, a 250 person organization based in Oxford Science Park with 70% of its business being carried out in the United States. The company was acquired by Telelogic in September 2000 for $115 million. Prior to QSS, Mr. Roberts was responsible for launching Sun Microsystem’s European operations from zero to $38 million in yearly revenue. He has held management positions at numerous high-tech companies such as Digital and Apollo Computer. He started his career as a research physicist in the glass industry and holds honors degrees in Physics and Applied Optics.
Vinnie Grosso is a telecommunications and entertainment industry veteran. As President of AT&TConsumer Interactive Services he sold billions of dollars in equipment and services when he developed and led the first interactive TV trials with Viacom, Pactel and GTE that delivered movies and games on demand. He developed the first interactive set-top boxes, servers, and software using Mpeg and ATM transport with AT&T Bell labs. Vinnie also led AT&T's first efforts in internet hosting and started "AT&T Downtown Digital" and held posts in "New Business" development building AT&T's internet investment portfolios. Vinnie was an executive member of the board-of-directors of NATPE where he led the broadcast industry association in integrating the internet and broadcasting. In 1997 Vinnie moved to the NBC television Network as VP of NBC and GM of NBC Interactive. In 1999 he became CEO of internet start-up "Arepa" later re-named "Into" Networks that became the leader in streaming software distribution. He developed the first patent protected software distribution platform over broadband and raised over $40M for the venture.
Lou Vaccarelli was the Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President, Manufacturing & Production, of BMG Entertainment, the $4.7 billion
music and entertainment division of Bertelsmann AG. At BMG, Lou was responsible for supply chain management, inventory management, production
and all strategic sourcing which includes compact disc, music cassette and DVD video and audio manufacturing. He oversaw BMG's Cost Improvement
Initiative, which resulted in savings totaling $100 million over a four year period in North America alone. He is the Chairman-Elect of the International
Recording Media Association (IRMA), where he holds seats on the Executive Board and Board of Directors, and a member of the Board of Trustees
and Directors of the Center for Advanced Purchasing Studies at Arizona State University.
Michael Wheeler is the former President of Financial News Network (FNN), which was acquired by NBC in 1991. Mr. Wheeler is currently a
principal in Westerly Partners, an investor advisory that provides strategic, financial and technology solutions to companies focused on the new
media and technology industries. He is also a co-founder and serves as Chairman of the New York New Media Association, the largest such new
media association in the world.
